PROJECT OVERVIEW
MontraPac is a conceptual outdoor lifestyle brand built around exploration, adaptability, and finding balance beyond everyday routines. The project positions the backpack as more than a functional product, representing the transition from daily obligations into outdoor experiences and personal discovery.
The brand was developed across environmental advertising, digital campaigns, apparel, and motion design, creating a flexible visual identity designed to celebrate adventure across different environments and seasons.

CREATIVE DIRECTION
The visual direction combines bold typography, immersive outdoor photography, and seasonal storytelling to create an energetic, inclusive outdoor identity. The system was designed to remain recognizable across everything from large-scale advertising to digital and lifestyle applications.
Consistent branding, strategic image composition, and a recurring red accent create visual continuity while reinforcing the brand's message of leaving routine behind and embracing the journey.
PROCESS
The project began as a Photoshop exercise using a provided backpack image and logo. I chose to create my own logo for additional practice, incorporating a subtle “MP” into a mountain mark and using a red accent to make the hidden “P” more discoverable. I also customized the wordmark by refining its weight and kerning.
From there, I developed a series of advertising concepts using licensed Envato photography and Photoshop compositing techniques. I created a fictional Pride Month campaign, including a rainbow logo and billboard, while establishing a consistent system for color, typography, photography, and tagline placement. For one landscape, I blended summer and winter mountain photographs with masks and softening techniques to create a seamless path between environments.
I later extended the brand into motion design with a two-minute television advertisement, which is explored in detail below.

GALLERY
A motion advertising concept exploring the contrast between the repetitive pace of modern work life and the freedom found through outdoor exploration. The video begins with fast-paced, fragmented scenes of workplace stress and constant movement before transitioning into slower, immersive moments of hiking, camping, and reconnecting with nature.
Inspired by the visual storytelling approach of The Matrix, the advertisement uses the idea of choosing between comfort and awareness as a metaphor for breaking away from routine and embracing adventure. The piece concludes with the MontraPac identity, reinforcing the brand message of discovering a different path.
